Do you have any questions?
Do I need to manually type-in the item details?
Nope! Just take a photo (at the max two) and we have got you covered.
Any rules around the item photos clicked in the app?
Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a few pointers
- Snap bright, clear household items for the best results.
- Keep your device steady and focus on the item.
- If one photo isn’t enough, take more to capture all details, especially the item name and expiry date
- We only support items with English names and expiry dates; ensure the expiry date is visible and in English.
- If there is no direct expiry date, look for “Best before”, “Use by”, or similar phrases and include them in the photo.
- Skip photos of barcodes or QR codes, as they don’t help with product and expiry identification. We do not scan them.
- If the item is not scannable, the app will reject it directly.
- Avoid including personal info like names, addresses, credit cards or any other sensitive information in photos
What if the expiry date isn’t clear in my photo?
The OCR software that our system uses will make best efforts in finding out the expiry date from the uploaded photo. In the event we are not able to find it out, the item will be rejected.
My data is shared with 3rd party systems?
Yes, your household item photo(s) are shared with third party OCR and LLM systems (Hence the mention of not to share photos with Personally Identifiable Information data in it. Eg. Passports, driving license).
Rest of the data is not shared with any 3rd party systems and is stored securely on our servers. So there is “no way” for the 3rd party systems to ever know that so and so product belongs to John Doe!
How accurate are the recipe suggestions?
The recipe suggestions are automatically generated by the third party AI LLM system. We do not manually curate them or check it for its accuracy.
Can I track non-food items like medicine, cosmetics, toiletry?
Yes! why not. Any perishable item (without PII data) at home can be / should be tracked in the application.
Can family members share a single account?
Sorry, not yet! An account can use the app only in a single device at a time.
But we hear you and already have this scheduled in the product roadmap.
Do I need to pay for the features in the app?
Yes. You are required to make a subscription commitment before you can start clicking photos! There is only a single yearly subscription plan. Very manageable specially considering the things that the app will do for you and your home!
Can I initially use the app for a trial?
Yes. We offer a very generous trial period of 3 months for all our new users! We do understand that it takes time to fully realise the usage of apps like these and whether they fit into the way things are managed at home.
